Mikol, the innovative mind behind the Solana meme coin “Truth or Dare” (DARE), has captured widespread attention following a risky and disastrous marketing stunt. During a live-streamed event intended to boost the profile of his newly launched DARE token, Mikol covered himself in isopropyl alcohol and subjected himself to a barrage of fireworks. The stunt took a dangerous turn, resulting in Mikol catching fire.
In an effort to create a memorable and attention-grabbing spectacle, Mikol’s plan was to douse himself in alcohol and endure fireworks during the livestream. However, the outcome was far from what he had anticipated. The flames engulfed Mikol, causing third-degree burns across a significant portion of his body, with his left hand and shoulders particularly affected.
Those present during the livestream scrambled to extinguish the flames, using water bottles in a frantic attempt to help. Mikol was subsequently rushed to a trauma center in Miami, where he received immediate medical attention.
Despite the severity of his injuries, Mikol remains resilient and determined. From his ICU bed, he assured his community that he is alive and committed to returning to the project within a week. Expressing gratitude and motivation, he vowed to come back stronger than ever.
This incident starkly highlights the dangers associated with extreme marketing tactics used by token creators in the cryptocurrency space. While Mikol’s recovery will undoubtedly be closely watched by the crypto community, the stunt has ironically succeeded in boosting the DARE token.
At the time of writing, the token has seen a staggering 1500% increase in investment. The sudden surge in interest is evidenced by personal investments, with a $200 stake in the token rising to $265 within just 20 minutes.
