Mrs. Oluwatoyin madein, the federation’s newly appointed accountant general, has assumed office and warned staff against corruption.
She spoke in Abuja on Friday after taking over from acting accountant general mr okolieaboh ezeoke sylvis. “we all know that the treasury house has been in jeopardy in the last year, as we all know.
We will return to the golden days, and I need your help,” she said.
She did however state that the wellbeing of her staff was a top priority for them to be above board.
“I need the help of the staff and former accountants general to bring the values, core values, and the rules of the profession to our work,” she said. Dr. Ibrahim Dankwambo, a former federation accountant general, said there is a lot to be done.
He also charged her to be good to the staff. “It’s a high-risk job,” he said.
Also speaking, another past Accountant General, Mr. Kayode Naiyeju, said the new AG should live above pecuniary gains.
He also told her to prioritize promotion and posting.
