Hamas’s armed wing, the Qassam Brigades, claims to have killed and wounded Israeli soldiers in a “complex ambush” in southern Gaza.
In a statement, the Qassam Brigades said its fighters “executed a complex ambush against enemy vehicles penetrating the Saudi neighborhood in Tal as-Sultan, west of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.”
They reported targeting an Israeli D9 bulldozer with an Al-Yassin 105 shell in Tal as-Sultan, resulting in the deaths and injuries of soldiers.
When an Israeli rescue force arrived, the Qassam Brigades claimed to have targeted a troop carrier with an Al-Yassin 105 missile, destroying the vehicle and killing those on board.
Additionally, the Qassam Brigades stated that they, alongside the Al-Quds Brigades, targeted the Sufa military site in southern Israel with a missile salvo.
They also reported targeting the Israeli command headquarters on the Netzarim axis west of Gaza City with short-range missiles.
