Pope Francis has criticized the law that criminalizes homosexuality, describing it as an unjust act against the children of God.
The Pope during an interview described LGBTQ as a choice, neglecting the crime and hatred of it, saying homosexuality isn’t a crime.
Pope called upon all bishops to be lenient against the proponent of LGBTQ and urged them to welcome them into the church, saying God loves all his children as they are without any hatred.
“These bishops have to have a process of conversion, they should apply tenderness please, as God has for each one of us,” Pope said.
The Pope quoting the Catechism of the Catholic Church said, homosexuals must be welcomed and respected, urging them not to denigrate or put into action discriminatory acts against them.
He appealed to all Catholic Church bishops to help fight against putting an end to the anti-homosexual law, saying it’s what should and must be achieved.
Pope said, “Being homosexual is not a crime, but it’s a sin, but first let’s distinguish between a sin and a crime.”
He said that LGBTQ people must be treated with respect, but homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered.
