On Thursday, the Military Headquarters referred to requests for an interim administration following the Nigeria general election of the president-elect as being unconstitutional.
This was said in Abuja at the biweekly press briefing on activities of the Nigerian Armed Forces by Major General Musa Danmadami, Director of Defence Media Operations.
He criticized the calls for an interim administration made by people who were dissatisfied with the results of the presidential election and said the Idea was illegitimate and unconstitutional.
The All Progressives Congress, the New Nigeria Peoples Party, and the Peoples Democratic Party backed the military’s vow to uphold the constitution.
