The Aircraft conveying Malawi Vice President Saulos Chilima and nine others have been declared missing.
This was confirmed in a statement released by the Presidential office.
The Malawi Defense Force aircraft “went off the radar” after leaving Lilongwe, the nation’s capital on Monday.
The President’s office said the plane was supposed to make its scheduled landing by 10:02 at the Mzuzu International Airport.
The President who canceled his scheduled visit to the Bahamas has ordered all national and regional agencies to begin an immediate search and rescue operation.
