Ukraine and the European Union are expected to hold a summit in Kyiv on February 3 to discuss financial and military support, Ukraine president Volodymyr Zelensky’s office said in a statement.
Zelensky discussed details of the meeting with the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, in his first phone call of the year, according to the statement.
Last month, the European Union gave Ukraine a so-called “megadeal”, the aid that included the adoption of a minimum 15 percent global corporate tax rate.
The move followed after President Zelensky’s plea to the commission not to let internal disputes within the 27 bloc nation stand in the way of backing Ukraine
