Prof. Wole Soyinka, a Nobel laureate, came under fire on social media after criticizing a remark made by Labour Party vice presidential candidate Datti Baba-Ahmed.
In the February 25 presidential election, Baba-Ahmed and his principal, Peter Obi, came in third place. Soyinka referred to their remarks about the Supreme Court as using “fascistic language.”
With regards to the election won by President-elect Bola Tinubu as reported by the Independent National Electoral Commission, Baba-Ahmed and Obi are currently in front of the presidential election petition tribunal.
In the interview, Soyinka disclosed that he had forewarned Obi that the attitudes of his supporters would be to blame if he lost the presidential election.
