Kim Jong Un, his sister Kim Yo Jong has issued a strict warning to South Korea over North Korean action should they persist in the loudspeaker broadcasts.
South Korean military on Sunday reacted to the hostility from North Korea by sounding loudspeakers and leaflets after North Korea sent trash balloons into the country.
Speaking on the latest incident, Kim Jong Un’s sister said, “If the ROK simultaneously carries out the leaflet scattering and loudspeaker broadcasting provocation over the border, it will undoubtedly witness the new counteraction of the DPRK.”
Hostility between the Korean neighbors has intensified as both engage in psychological warfare against others as foreign interference continues in the Strait.
South Korea resumed loudspeaker broadcasts directed at North Korea on Sunday, its military said, following through on a warning demanding that Pyongyang stop sending balloons carrying trash into the South.
The decision to resume the broadcasts, as a form of psychological warfare, was made after North Korea began launching on Saturday about 330 balloons with trash attached, with about 80 of them dropping over the border, South Korea’s military said.
