The Niger delta development commission, NDDC, has been told by indigenes of seven host communities of the Eriemu oil field in the Delta state that if the commission fails to honor their 30-day ultimatum to mobilize the contractor responsible for the 11-kilometer road project that was abandoned 13 years ago to the site, they will have no recourse.
The communities of Opherin, owevwe, Gana, otokutu, Saniko, Agbaide, and Ughere in Agbarha-otor, said the ultimatum would expire before the end of this month in a statement issued by their presidents-general, Moses Oruruore, Philip akpovukoko, Ejomafuvwe iboyi francis Akapoedafe
They noted that the road, which connects the Otokutu community to owevwe street, agbarha-otor, and Saniko community junction, was blocked.
