Brazilian Supreme Court has included the name of former President, Jair Bolsonaro among the instigator of the January 8 riots at the government building.
It was disclosed that the ex-president was named among the instigator after making claims that can incite crime.
The office of the prosecutor general has called for the inclusion of Bolsonaro in the investigation process, after making a false claim on the electoral victory of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
By questioning the vote “Bolsonaro would have publicly incited the commission of a crime”, the prosecutor’s office remarks.
The Supreme Court Judge Alexandre de Moraes has announced that the former president would be included in the investigation probe sequel to the request of the prosecutor general accusing him of instigating the riot.
Over 1,200 people have been arrested in the riot, and are set to be charged based on the public outcry.
