President Y.K Museveni blasted his rivals, Dr. Kiiza Besigye, Gen Tumukunde and Major Gen Mugisha Muntu, who fought with him in the bush, and referred to them as ‘useless.’

He also mentioned that if a useful person arrives, he would leave the Presidential office.

Furthermore, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni said, “if I go, you guys who are useless when I’m here and want me to push you like a wheelbarrow…”

“Let me stay since Ugandans still want me. I will go if a useful person comes and I see where to leave Uganda”. Museveni added while campaigning in Kigezi region.

While Musevini has a lot of challengers contesting, among them is the youngest Ugandan politician, John Katumba, who is aspiring for the highest elective office in Uganda.

General elections to elect the President and Parliament will be held in Uganda on 14 January 2021.

Using the two-round system, the President of Uganda is chosen, with candidates having to obtain at least 50 percent of the vote to be elected in the first round.
