As the war between Russia and Ukraine continue to elongate to its sixth month with a series of casualties on both sides, a call has unfolded for Russia to return the Nuclear plant which he had control over back to Ukraine.
The call for the return comes following days of an imminent attack on the Zaporizhzhia plant as claimed by the President of Ukraine, which Moscow had debunked his assertion, saying the fire outbreak on the Nuclear plant was a result of an accident.
Russia seized the Zaporizhzhia plant in March during their first month of invasion, and officials from Kyiv had accused Russia of using the plant as a base to attack innocent civilians.
While clamor for the return of the plant to Kyiv and demilitarization was made by the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, Group of Seven Key economies, and Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, an official from Russia said the idea was a total mockery from the point of view of ensuring safety.
With international agency especially based on Atomic Energy, assessing the report on the cause of the explosion at the plant blamed the aggressive nature of both countries and urged Russian officials to give chance to assess the severity of the damage.
The Nuclear chief of the UN also warned against military activities around the plant for fear of severe damage.
While maintaining their strongness on the Nuclear plant, Russia debunked any allegations of using the plant as a harbor for targeting civilians while laughing off the request for returning the plant as unachievable.
