After months of being Isolated in Europe and other parts of the World by the Western countries and her allies, President Putin looks unperturbed as he sought mutual bilateral ties with other countries, with Asia being his preferred destination.
With most Asiatic countries not following the trajectory of the west in sanctioning Russia, it had opened the thread-path to Moscow to look for an alternative in the continent after a visit to the African continent by Russian FM Lavrov in the past months.
President Putin in consolidating his stand in the global political spectrum had decided to forge bilateral ties with North Korean President Kim Jong Un.
A state media report from Pyongyang stated that President Putin has expressed willingness to expand comprehensive and bilateral relations with North Korea in countering aggressive countries.
While both countries have been subject to isolation from the west, they had come together in solidifying their interest in seeing to forging a close and mutual understanding together.
Reports have been brought that, President Putin sent a letter of mutual ties of interest on behalf of both countries to the North Korean president on the 77th anniversary of the end of Japan’s occupation of the Korean peninsula.
The letter also stressed the aspects of solidifying the security well-being and stability of the peninsula with the Northeastern region inclusively.
The North Korean President was said to receive the letter with joy, as he said both country’s diplomatic ties have been solidifying for decades to go, and that Russia has been of utmost help to his country with their support in seeing to their victory over Japan during the Second World War.
Both leaders have agreed to work in unity to see to the strategic and tactical cooperation, support, and solidarity in the era of new military threats and provocation from hostile military forces known to be the US-led NATO, and her allies inclusively.
While North Korea has been one of the strongest allies of Russia since the latter invasion of Ukraine which has been condemned internationally North Korea had been reticent to condemn Moscow for invading Ukraine but rather supported the cause by recognizing the Luhansk and Donbas region as Russian territory.
Rumors also have it that, President Kim is ready to aid Russia militarily with a large force of hundred of thousand, should the military support be true, it will open a new epoch in international politics as two countries who are against the US-led western hegemony will be coming to loggerhead with their military pact in few years to come.
