Ukrainian authorities have called to the attention of Germany to be decisive and quicker in their decisions about sending the German-made Leopard tanks for war.
The statement was made following an inconclusive meeting between representatives of the NATO members on Friday in Germany, where they were unable to reach a resolute conclusion with Germany on supplying tanks to Ukraine.
According to a senior adviser to President Zelenskyy, Mykahilo Podolyak pleaded to the West to increase their military support for the country in its ongoing war with Russia.
Mr. Podolyak stressed that the only way to end the war is by defeating Russia, which can only be achievable by providing Ukraine with the needed help and weapons.
He said the inability to reach an agreeable conclusion will continue to lead to the death of more Ukrainian, urging them to fasten their decisions about arming Ukraine.
“But today’s indecision is killing more of our people. Every day of delay is the death of Ukrainians. Think faster,” he pleaded.
Germany has remained indecisive about sending its latest tanks to Ukraine, saying foot-dragging, has been due to concerns surrounding a possible escalation in the war.
