Following the crisis that followed the All Progressives Congress’s National working committee, NWC in zoning the principal officers of the 10th national assembly, there are strong signs that the president-elect, asiwaju bola tinubu, may postpone the inauguration.
Tinubu has expressed dissatisfaction with APC national chairman Senator Abdullahi Adamu for allegedly instigating lawmakers-elect to reject his nominees for senate president and speakership positions, according to Tinubu.
Senator Godswill Akpabio, the former governor of Akwa Ibom state, was appointed the senate president of the 10th assembly by the national working committee (NWC), while Mr. Tajudeen Abbas from Kaduna state was also appointed speaker of the house.
According to multiple sources, opposition parties are set to meet in Uyo next week to decide how to execute their plans, with Senator Godswill Akpabio and Mr. Tajudeen Abass being rejected.
