France on Thursday has been hit with major economic disruption due to protests as the country union battles it out with the French President over pension reform.
The country is witnessing a nationwide strike as trains were halted, schools shut down and businesses were disrupted as many took to the streets to antagonize the reform.
Many French citizens insist on no positivity in the reform, which aims at extending the retirement age increased by two years to 64.
That, over 200 rallies and protests are expected to hit France on Thursday, with the major one expected in the French capital of Paris.
Unions across the country have dedicated Thursday as the starting point of more strikes and protests.
Trains, schools, power supplies, refineries, and others have been affected as a result of the Union’s action.
