Alhassan Ado Doguwa, who is the majority leader in the House of Representatives and represents the Doguwa/Tudun Wada Federal Constituency, kano state has denied any involvement in the purported murder of sixteen individuals, as the opposition has stated.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday in Kano, he said that the accusations made against him by his political foes were intended to make him look bad in the eyes of the outside world.
He claimed that Allah’s will, who bestows authority on whomever He pleases while promising to carry everyone along, was the reason for his recent electoral success.
Doguwa added that he has had one of the most difficult periods in his political career.
“My political rivals went all out to hold my jugular and insist that I shouldn’t be elected to return to the House of Reps.
“They make sure that they painted me black through their malicious propaganda hate speech among others, and now Allah has ruled otherwise,” he said.
Doguwa, who had a strong belief in fate, said, “I forgive all those who wronged me and would like to call on them to come forward and assist me in discharging my duties as a representative of the people.”
Regarding his desire to become Speaker, Doguwa stated he would not rush the process but would not hesitate to run if necessary.
