There have been numerous articles recently circulating on social media concerning whether it is safe to eat Indomie noodles or not. We cannot ignore Nigeria because of the idea of the global village even though this news is coming from Malaysia and Taiwan.
Health officials in Malaysia and Taiwan recently claimed in a statement that they had found ethylene oxide in Indomie’s “Special Chicken” flavor noodles made by Indofoods. This statement jolted the world’s largest manufacturer of noodles into a series of investigations to verify the health officials’ claim.
The Indomie Special Chicken Flavour instant noodles products from Malaysia were immediately ordered to be held, tested, and released at all entry points into the nation. Additionally, the manufacturer was urged to voluntarily remove the contaminated products from the markets in Malaysia and Taiwan.
Despite the fact that this incident took place in distant Asian nations, it has raised concerns about the safety of consuming Indomie Instant Noodles among consumers worldwide, especially in Nigeria, one of the biggest consumers of noodles in the world.
