The opposition Azimio la Umoja prescribed certain conditions that Ruto’s administration should meet before an audit of last year’s Kenya General Election is conducted.
The Azimio la Umoja alliances said if the intention of the audits were to to fix the problems in the the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), President Ruto should not single-handedly appoint the commissioners.
Azimio unveiled that the commission of inquiry should be run by a foreign judge or lawyer.
The opposition alliance says the chairman of the commission should be a foreigner who is been honored internationally and must be accepted by the two sides of the political oppositions.
The Azimio alliance, which lost the presidential election to Dr Ruto and his Kenya Kwanza alliance, said President Ruto should not appoint members of the commission.
