A 31-year-old Toronto man is facing 96 charges in connection with the sexual assault and abuse of minors he targeted through social media platforms, Canadian police said Wednesday, adding that they believe there are more victims.
Daniel Langdon, who has been charged with 39 counts of sexual assault, is also suspected of creating and possessing child pornography, according to Toronto police.
There are “multiple victims ranging in age from seven to 17,” and the alleged crimes occurred between April 2021 and February of this year, according to detective Vijay Shetty.
The victims, who lived in various parts of Ontario, Canada’s most populous province, were thought to have been targeted via internet apps such as Snapchat, Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter.
