The FBI arrested a man in Pennsylvania, US on Wednesday for allegedly attempting to bring an explosive device onto an airplane.
The bomb was discovered by Transportation Security Administration personnel on Monday after the man’s checked bag triggered an alarm at Lehigh Valley International Airport in Allentown, according to a statement from the federal agency.
The airport, which is about 100 miles (160 kilometers) west of New York, was evacuated as a precaution, according to the TSA.
“The item was determined to be a live explosive device by FBI and local law enforcement bomb technicians,” TSA spokeswoman Lisa Farbstein said on Twitter.
