On June 13, the forthcoming 10th assembly’s joint task group reported that delivering tajudeen abbas and Benjamin Kalu as speaker and deputy speaker will be a smooth ride for them.
The Alliance is made up of eight main political parties, including the All progressives congress apc; the People democratic party, PDP; the Labor Party, LP; the New Nigerian peoples party, NNPP; the All progressives grand alliance, APGA; the Social democratic congress, ADC; and the young progressives party, YPP, which won national assembly seats in the February 25 general elections.
The group, which has since supported the ruling All progressives congress, APC, in appointing Abbas and Kalu as their preferred candidates, also aims to promote the legislature’s autonomy, and the legislature’s interdependence, among other things.
Speaking on behalf of the group on Arise TV program, titled “This Week”, monitored in Abuja, the secretary, a returning member-elect from Kano State, Ali Madaki, said the members had resolved to give a block vote, adding that the G7, a group of other aspirants, posed no threat to them.
