The Egyptian official announced on Friday following a discussion between Egypt President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi and US President Joe Biden which situation on the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza was discussed.
According to the Egyptian presidency, the conversation was held during a phone conversation which was initiated by US President Joe Biden.
Both leaders concluded increasing global support to ensure a peace deal is achieved in Gaza to put an end to the humanitarian crisis witnessed by the people of Gaza as a result of Israeli occupation.
Also, both leaders delve into the difficulties faced in delivering aid to the people stuck in Palestine which has further worsened as Israeli citizens continue to block truck entrance into the war-ridden enclave.
Sisi and Biden agreed to extend humanitarian aid to Gaza which includes fuel and would need to be delivered to the United Nations at the Kerem Shalom Crossing for delivery until a final settlement is reached for access into Rafah.
Issues of the two-state solution as a lasting mode of peace in the Middle East were discussed and also both Sisi and Biden opposed the ethnic cleansing of the people of Palestine from their land.
