The Taiwanese Coast Guard on Thursday warned the Chinese Navy to change its direction on the sea after it infiltrated into the Taiwanese sea by the PLA.
The infiltration comes as a result of the Chinese announcement to embark on a new military drill near the surrounding entirety of Taiwan, including the Islands of Kinmen and Dongyin.
According to a video released by the Taiwanese Coast Guard, it warned the Chinese navy against further attempts to invade the territorial sovereignty of Taiwan on the sea.
“China 548 vessel, this is the coast guard of the Republic of China, Yilan patrol vessel. Your action will severely undermine the peace and stability in the Taiwan Straits. It will increase the possibility of incidents and security risks. Please change your direction. If you decide to enter we will take action to repel you.”
The confrontation between the military forces of both countries has furthered heightened the tension between China and Taiwan, as the Taiwanese forces moved Hsiung Feng III (HF-3) supersonic anti-ship missiles into a defensive position in response to Chinese exercises around Taiwan.
Amid the turbulence challenges, there have been indications of military confrontation in the Chinese Strait, with Beijing ready to go militarily to annex Taiwan under their control.
