China has issued a stern warning to Taiwan regarding its sovereignty claim and self-independence from the People’s Republic of China, as tensions in the Chinese Strait heightened.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Wang Wenbin in a press release today urged the Taiwanese independence forces to withdraw their position or the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) would respond decisively.
“Taiwan independence forces will be left with their heads broken and blood flowing,” Wang said amid a stand-off on the Chinese territorial sea.
In response to infiltration on the Taiwan coast by the Chinese Navy, the Taiwanese forces moved its supersonic anti-ship missiles Hsiung Feng III (HF-3) into a defensive position.
Further altercation is anticipated between the Chinese Navy and the Taiwanese Coast Guard as China begins military drills around the entirety of Taiwan, including the Islands of Kinmen and Dongyin.
