The chairman of a 16-member state National Population and Housing Census advocacy and logistical committee has been named as Dr. Manassah Jatau, Deputy Governor of Gombe State.
The terms of reference, which were delivered by Professor Ibrahim Njodi, Secretary of State Government, at the deputy governor’s banquet hall, said that the committee would run a massive public awareness and sensitization campaign regarding the 2023 National Population and Housing Census.
Njodi revealed that the committee was tasked with coming up with and putting into action solutions that would help the NPC produce accurate and dependable census data.
“Recommend reasonable and affordable logistics and security assistance to be extended to the NPC.
“Supervise, monitor, guide and give directions to the Local publicity and logistics committees and recommend/ carry out any other activity that will assist the NPC in realising its overarching vision to produce accurate, reliable and acceptable data of the state,” Njodi said
