The largest street protests in Israel’s history, according to organizers, took place on Saturday night as hundreds of thousands of Israelis demonstrated against the government’s judicial plans.
According to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the adjustments, which would limit the influence of courts, will rebalance the three branches of government.
Their detractors claim they endanger democracy.
