After the governorship and state house of assembly elections were postponed, the University of Calabar, UNICAL declared a new date for the start of academic activity.
According to a press release from the institution’s registrar, Mr. Gabriel Egbe, the new date for the start of academic activities has been changed from March 14 to March 20.
The Vice Chancellor has approved the extension of the academic vacation taken by students at the University of Calabar in accordance with the Independent National Electoral Commission’s decision to move the governor’s and state house of assembly elections.
“In line with the Independent National Electoral Commission’s decision to shift the Gubernatorial and State Houses of Assembly election, the Vice Chancellor has approved the extension of the academic break embarked upon by members of the University of Calabar community.
“Accordingly, staff and students are now to return to the campus on March 20, 2023, when academic activities are expected to fully resume.
Yet, employees on critical duties must continue to do their assigned tasks on time.
