The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has requested President Bola Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to give Nigerians the opportunity to peacefully protest against unfair policies and let them express their concerns freely.
The National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, made this statement in Abuja on Tuesday.
The party also criticized the Tinubu Presidency and the APC for trying to use politics to undermine the protests by Nigerians against the current economic difficulties.
The PDP stated that citizens also took to the streets to express their frustration with the increasing insecurity in the country, which they attribute to the anti-people policies and widespread corruption of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led APC government.
He said, “The APC’s actions of threatening Nigerians for peacefully protesting against the misrule, extreme poverty, hunger, killings, and other terrible experiences under the Tinubu administration indicate that the APC is insensitive and enjoys the worsening situation in the country.”
