The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum has revealed its full support for the creation of state police, considering the security challenges in the country. The forum believes that the creation will solve the worsening insecurity in the country.
The information was revealed to the news reporters on Thursday by the Chairman of the Forum, Governor Bala Muhammad of Bauchi State, during a visit to Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State, along with other governors.
While speaking, Governor Bala decried insecurity in the country, adding that the State Police would help state governors handle the security situation at the state level.
The Governor also reiterated that the PDP always advocates for good governance, even though the party does not hold power in the country.
The PDP Governors’ Forum comprises a collective of governors from the People’s Democratic Party, one of Nigeria’s major political parties.
