NNPC demolished a filling station named Blessed Corporate Oil & Gas Services Ltd. in Opete, Warri, Delta State, over stolen crude oil.
The NNPC stated that the invasion was carried out in collaboration with security bodies as well as local firms recently contracted by the federal government for pipeline surveillance jobs.
The barge by the name of “MT Brighton 1” was also destroyed by the NNPC; the barge was loaded with stolen crude oil. The team also demolished a filling station in Warri for storing stolen crude oil on Saturday.
According to the NNPC, the exercise helped increase oil production from 1.1 million BPD to 1.5 million.
