The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) recently uncovered a shipment of 32 Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) en route to a bandit’s camp in Niger State.
This discovery is a result of the heightened operations taking place at drug points and pathways countrywide, in preparation for the inauguration of new administrations on May 29.
Femi Babafemi, the Agency’s spokesperson, explained that Brig. Gen. Mohammed Marwa (retd), the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the NDLEA, promptly ordered the transfer of Musa Muhammadu, who was arrested on May 22nd with the explosives along Wawa Road, Kainji, Niger State, to the military.
Additionally, the NDLEA recently found another package containing 379 grams of methamphetamine in the false bottom of six black soaps, a week after agents at the SAHCO export shed of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport Ikeja Lagos intercepted a shipment of 30.10 kg of the same illicit substance en route to London, UK.
