According to reports, a group of hoodlums took control of Amuludun 99.1 FM, a community-oriented radio station owned by the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) in Ibadan.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, and the station was reportedly seized around 6 am.
A staff member of the radio station informed our correspondent that the perpetrators entered the premises carrying an assortment of charms.
The General Manager of the station, Mr. Stephen Agbaje, confirmed the development to Vanguard in a telephone call but stressed that the situation has been brought under control by the security agencies, adding that some arrests have been made.
