A tanker accident that occurred during the early hour of Sunday along the Apapa-Oshodi Expressway in Lagos claimed the life of one, while another was rescued from the incident.
It was recorded that, the accident took place at Otto Wharf Bus Stop along the Mile 2 axis of the road.
The incident was confirmed by the Director, of Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Mrs. Margaret Adeseye, who said information about the accident was received around 04:02 am today.
It was disclosed that the tanker that was bound for Oshodi fell on a towing van while negotiating its way through barriers introduced by toll collectors.
Among the two victims of the accident, one was reported dead, while the others suffered different kinds of serious injuries, but have been rushed to the hospital for treatment.
The tanker accident was quickly responded to by the Sari-Iganmu Fire Service who were able to prevent a fire outbreak and another incident.
