The gubernatorial candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State during the last general elections, Ambassador Saddique Baba Abubakar, has urged supporters of the APC in the state not to lose hope over the outcome of the March governorship election held in the state, assuring that he is ready to legally fight to reclaim his mandate at the election tribunal.
We have faith that God and the judicial system will restore our mandate, insha’Allah.I want to think that the Nigerian court system is trustworthy, and I am confident that we will ultimately regain our mandate. We promised the people what we would do right away after retrieving the mandate.
“The APC will continue to be the political force to be reckoned with, not just in Bauchi state but throughout the nation, hence I am pleading with our members to stay loyal to and supportive of the party at all levels.
“Considering what transpired after the election, I want to express my sincere gratitude to the APC members in Bauchi State. They should continue to be patient and hopeful, I want to say. He claims that he and the APC won the governor’s race, and he is always willing to present evidence to support this claim in court, therefore I am prepared to take legal action to regain his mandate.
