Mr. Peter Obi, the candidate for the Labour Party in the February 25 presidential election, congratulated Nigerian workers on the occasion of Workers’ Day.
Obi asked the workforce to maintain their commitment to the principles that boost national productivity.
Obi urged Nigerian employees in his speech to see their occupations as opportunities to support the development of their country. He explained that if Nigerians realized that the duty of nation-building was for everyone, the country would flourish and prosper more.
He remarked that Nigeria is blessed with a hardworking workforce that wishes to see the nation flourish. He praised workers for continuing to toil for the country despite the country’s terrible welfare conditions for workers.
Obi urged everyone to stay focused on creating a more productive and prosperous nation, which, he said, was one of the offerings of the New Nigeria. He urged workers not to be discouraged by the numerous challenges that, in his opinion, permeate the country’s economic and political space.
