Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Yahaya has disbanded his cabinet and requested that all appointments turn in comprehensive notes by Wednesday, April 19, 2023.
This was stated in a news release titled “Submission of Handing-Over Notes of Ministries, Department and Agencies” dated April 11, 2023. Rabi’u Abubakar signed it on behalf of the State Government’s Secretary’s office and encouraged the appointees to regard it as urgent.
The letter was sent to the offices of the Principal Private Secretary of Government House, the Permanent Secretary of the Deputy Governor’s Office at Government House in Gombe, the Secretary to the State Government Governor’s Office, the Clerk of the Gombe State House of Assembly, the Chief Registrars of the High Court of Justice and the Shari’a Court of Appeal, all Permanent Secretaries, all Heads of Extra Ministerial Departments, and all Chief Executives of Boards and Parastatals.
He acknowledged that the choice had been made as a result of the administration’s success in the most recent gubernatorial election, which signaled the end of Yahaya’s first term in office.
