Former Governor of Kano State Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has denied Involvement in the amendment that led to the deposition of Kano Emir HRH Aminu Ado Bayero on Thursday.
Kwankwaso the prominent political figure who orchestrated the coming to power of Gov. Abba Kabir Yusuf, said the dethronement of Aminu Ado Bayero and the reinstatement of Sanusi Lamido Sanusi II as the new Emir happened behind his knowledge.
The politician who’s currently out of Kano State said he will revisit the matter upon his arrival back to the State with the government.
“I will go to Kano very soon and I will speak with some of the assembly members, especially the speaker, and the Governor on what is happening”, he said.
He stressed that he never influenced any decision of the Governor as he reaffirmed his support for Gov. Abba saying he only offered advice to the Governor when he was being called upon.
He called for support for the government as tension in the State continued to rise over the feud regarding the Emirship position in the State.
