Senator Adams Oshiomhole, who represents Edo North Senatorial District, urges Nigerians not to blame Tinubu for the current economic woes because they result from Buhari’s policies. He has stated that Nigerians are still experiencing the consequences of the policies implemented by former President Muhammadu Buhari.
He highlighted that some of the measures introduced by the government led by President Bola Tinubu have resulted in hardships, notably the removal of petrol subsidy, which led to a threefold increase in fuel prices.
The information was disclosed during an interview on Channels TV where Oshiomhole clarified that President Tinubu should not bear responsibility for the positive or negative decisions made by the previous administration.
The president has often reassured Nigerians that better times are coming, comparing the current challenges to the pains experienced by a woman during childbirth.
Oshiomhole made it clear that he prioritizes the nation’s well-being over political interests. The senator mentioned that he has openly criticized some of the policies of Buhari’s administration. He mentioned that even though his party was in power during the last administration, Tinubu was not part of the cabinet or an adviser.
