The appeal that Oladipupo Adebutu, the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate for governor in the state, filed has been applauded by the APC branch in Ogun state.
Adebutu had on Thursday submitted his case to the Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal in Abeokuta challenging the results of the March 18 election.
But the APC said in a statement released on Sunday by its publicity secretary, Tunde Oladunjoye, “We hope that Mr. Adebutu will desist from his antics of cheap blackmail, sponsored protests, incitements, false claims, and propaganda. Now that Mr. Adebutu has seen reason and decided to follow the path of civility and honor as we advised him.
“We also took cognisance of his claims when he went to file the petition and wish to advise that he should not intimidate or stampede the tribunal with his unethical boasts as if the honourable justices are pliable and or in his pockets.”
