U.S. President Joe Biden had again warned his Russian counterpart, President Putin of the intention of using “Weapon of Mass Destruction” (WMDs) in his ongoing military operation in Ukraine.
He made the statement in an interview with CBS News scheduled to air on Sunday night. President Biden said the use of nuclear weapons would change the face of the war.
He warned against its use which will be the first since the aftermath of World War ||.
The recent warning by President Biden wasn’t the first since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine with little success to their warning.
President Putin in the early day of their invasion had ordered the Russian nuclear forces to stay on high alert should there be cause for it which had caused panic among NATO members for them to be in preparation.
But in his recent warning, he said they will respond aggressively should Putin uses it, and the nature of the response depends on the nature of the use.
“Don’t. Don’t. He warned against saying they will become more of a pariah in the world than they had ever been.
With the war entering a new phase, going nuclear remains uncertain since recent attacks on the Zaporizhzhia plant have risen the fear of a nuclear outbreak that devastating to the continent at large.
