The Federal Operations Unit, Zone A, of the Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, and the Comptroller-Customs General’s Strike Force Team A have come under fire for their actions from commuters and drivers on the Apapa-Oshodi road between Mile 2 and Second Rainbow. They maintained that their actions had made the traffic congestion along the road much worse.
Also, it is claimed that the Customs agents are posted at the downward-turning Mile 2 bridge, where they frequently detain truckers carrying containers and imported vehicles leaving the ports.
However, the NCS claimed that because its officers are performing their lawful duties, their actions have no impact on the flow of traffic along the route.
