Pa Ayo Adebanjo has urged Nigerians to vote for the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, on Saturday.
At a meeting with Atunluse Initiatives, the leader of the apex Yoruba organization, Afenifere, canvassed votes for Obi.
According to NAN, the elder statesman hosted the leadership of the Yoruba socio-cultural and political group on Tuesday in Lagos.
Adebanjo stated that the people of Nigeria needed the former Anambra governor to free the country from the shackles of poverty and bad governance and thus, “Through this weekend’s presidential election, all citizens have the responsibility to fight for their freedom,” he said.
“We don’t have the resources to fight them, but we must do everything legally possible to free ourselves,” he explained.
