During the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike Women Association’s (MOUAUWA) 2023 International Women’s Day celebration, the VC’s wife, who made this statement, said that digital literacy was the yardstick for measuring literacy level and the primary determinant of success in businesses.
Dr. Mrs. Iwe went on to argue that mothers need to prioritize digital literacy in order to monitor their kids and wards, who are typically digitally literate, effectively. She also urged women and girls to prioritize digital literacy in order to deliver services more effectively.
The VC’s wife, who chose “Women Empowerment in a Digitalized World” as the topic for this year’s Women’s Day celebration, praised the institution’s leadership for continuing to support MOUAUWA.
She requested support for the project, citing the completion of the MOUAUWA Skill Acquisition Center as the top priority for women at the university.
