A New York-based civil group on Monday petitioned U.S. President Joe Biden, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin for their complicity in the war against innocent civilians in Gaza.
The US-based human rights group said the petition against the top government officials is done on behalf of the human rights group in Palestine for the besieged people of Gaza.
In their appeal at a court in San Francisco, the right group lawyers accused Biden, Blinken, and Lloyd of supporting and perpetrating the war which has led to the death of tens of thousands of innocent civilians.
They assert that President Biden’s complicity in the war crimes is glaring, and must be made to face the law for abetting Israel in its genocidal mission in Gaza.
Should the appeal be made to stand, Biden would be the first US President to be sued for war crimes and genocide after the first lawsuit against him was dismissed in January based on jurisdictional grounds.
One of the Palestinian plaintiffs filing the petition against the US government said she will ensure justice is given to the people of Palestine who lost their lives unjustly in Israel’s genocidal war in occupied Gaza.
