The US government has promised a whooping sum of $10m for information about the leader of the Somali-based Al-Shabaab jihadist group Mohamoud Abdi Aden.
The United States has declared him wanted for his engagement in many deadly attacks in neighboring Kenya, and also pinpointed as the mastermind behind a bloody attack in a hotel in Kenya four years ago.
Despite the Kenyan government saying they have eliminated all the assailants at the time, the US ambassador to the country, Meg Whitman on Thursday said, Mohamoud Abdi Aden is part of the cell that planned the hotel attack.
She disclosed that the United States is ready to offer a huge amount of money for information that can lead to the arrest of Aden, who’s designated as a global terrorist.
During the DusitD2 hotel attack, 21 people including a US citizen lost their lives, while many were injured in an operation that lasted close to 20 hours.
