The United State of America had increasingly attacked India on her stance in the Ukrainian crisis, as the call for sanctions by the West against Russia by countries of the world falls on deaf hear to some countries as they continue normalcy between the warring states.
It’s to be noteworthy that, India as a sovereign entity had followed the footstep of China, on their voices that, the sanction isn’t the probable solution to deescalate the crisis but rather a peaceful negotiation will suffice, which will also bring balance in the world, as it won’t bear hatred for countries in their international relations.
According to U.S President Biden, in a statement released on Monday, criticized India for taking a non-supportive stance to call for ceasefire and diplomacy to resolve the Ukraine crisis instead of sanctions, calling them an exception and somewhat shaky.
Since the beginning of the crisis, India has continued to appeal for peace with its own diplomatic engagement based on its relationship with both countries.
India as a member of the UN during the voting time in order to take general action against Russia had consistently stood on the opposite side as against the West, a reaction which had fostered economic relations between them with Russia in recent time most especially in the aspect of crude.
Indian External Affairs Ministry spokesperson had hit on the Western hypocrisy in tandem to maintaining an international friendship with her allies, saying “A number of countries are importing energy from Russia, especially in Europe” but which emphasis had not been put on them.
Asserting individuality and diplomatic ties, countries of the world had been divided on stances to take on the crisis, while the first bloc led by the US and her NATO allies had condemned Moscow invasion with sanctions, the other bloc which had China, India, Brazil, and some other countries of the international entity had initiated their own policy of de-escalation which is not in favor of the West.
