Ukraine Presidential adviser Oleksiy Arestovych has reported that the capture of the Luhansk region by the Russians will be their last laugh in Ukraine, citing that, the Ukrainian armies are more than ready to defend the other region in the country with their all against Russia’s aggressor.
Making a report on Tuesday on the situation in the eastern part of the country which just fell to the Russians, the presidential adviser express his confidence of no progress will be made on Ukrainian soil by the Russians again, and that they are well positive of making it hard for the Moscow’s troop to press further into the interior of Kyiv. According to him, the Russian military is more concentrated in the eastern region, and it will be hard for them to press forward where they have few troops.
According to a post made online by Arestovych, Moscow’s victory in Luhansk isn’t worth the much-needed celebration by the Russians, and “these were medium-sized cities. And this took from 4th April until 4th July — that’s 90 days. So many losses….., “.
A report from local media in Kyiv quoting Luhansk governor Serhiy Haidai discloses that the Ukrainian forces that retreated from Lysychansk are now holding the line between Bakhmut and Sloviansk already prepared to fend off a further advance from the Russians.
Arestovych said besides the battle for Donetsk, the Ukrainians were already launching counteroffensives in the south of the country to halt the momentum enjoyed by the Russian before now.
“Taking the cities in the east meant that 60 percent of Russian forces are now concentrated in the east and it is difficult for them to be redirected to the south and that there are no more forces that can be brought in from Russia. They paid a big price for Severodonetsk and Lysychansk. Reported Aljazeera.
While large optimism is high on the Ukrainian side, as they are bent on putting a stop to the Russian progress, the concern is growing in the outside countries on the quickness of the success recorded by Russia in eastern Ukraine.
