The Presidential Election Petition Court has concluded the hearing in the petition filed by Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate.
Atiku is contesting the outcome of the February 25 election and seeking to nullify President Bola Tinubu’s victory.
The joint petition raised several issues, including allegations that Tinubu was not qualified to contest due to drug trafficking allegations in the United States, forged academic certificates submitted to INEC, and being a citizen of Guinea.
The petitioners also accused INEC of manipulating the election in Tinubu’s favor. The parties presented their final addresses summarizing all the evidence before the court.
The tribunal is now reserving judgment on the matter.
